Dehesa is a charcuterie and tapas bar inspired by the cuisine of Spain and Italy. It opened in January 2008 and is the sister restaurant to Salt Yard in Fitzrovia and Opera Tavern in Covent Garden, offering sharing dishes served in a relaxed environment. The restaurant is named after the Dehesa- a unique woodland area in Spain which is home to the black-footed Ibérico pigs – said to produce the best ham in the world. This reflects our commitment to quality and provenance and our dedication to carefully sourced products. Pop in to share a board of the finest Jamón Ibérico carved to order along with a plate of manchegos with quince – accompanied with a glass of cold Fino.
Try some courgette flowers stuffed with goats’ cheese and drizzled with honey or some chargrilled tiger prawns with smoked garlic butter and rosemary- washed down with a glass of crisp Albariño. Or how about chargrilled lamb chops with fresh peas, broad beans and mint and a glass of Pinot Nero. Bookings taken for lunch and dinner Monday to Friday as well as Saturday evenings and Sunday lunch. Our Private Dining Room is available to book lunch and dinner Monday to Saturday and Sunday lunch.
Really good food and wine!
Staff really professional. You make them work very hard by serving 1 dish at a time. High points - cod, beef and the brilliantly seasoned beetroot gnocchi. The flat bread was delicious. Too much mayo on the octopus slider and the pork belly bean base needed more seasoning. Finally the music was way too loud and we couldn't hear each other most of the time;
Great food and excellent location. Staff is not attentive, we have to keep them to come over to the table.
Great night with friends sharing lovely inventive plates in a buzzy atmosphere.
Lovely food, efficient service, nice drinks. No complaints! Thank you.
Our server on Saturday was Fantastic! Very warm, welcoming, fun and calm. Really appreciated it! Food was fantastic too, the private dining place it a great place for a gathering.
A little pricier than some tapas places I frequent, but the food was excellent. Service was also very good and timely.
Excellent food and wine, nice ambiance. Noisy (but it was a Friday night)
Top service and amazing food in a very nice setting - every dish we had was delightful but shame you ran out of the squid which we craved, next time!
Great food and lovely atmosphere
Very enjoyable meal in the private function room downstairs, with good food and excellent service.
I love Dehesa. I'm a bit dead and it can be noisy in there but the staff always manage to find me a seating arrangement which works for me. They are all so lovely. The food on my most recent visit was fabulous as I have come to expect, the wine delicious and the service friendly and impeccable. A great experience.
Nice buzzy tapas bar in the heart of the West End by Carnaby St. We had a table inside which was perfect at this time of year (late September). The service was good. We had fishbowls of gin & tonic, followed by 6 mixed plates and a nice bottle of red and 2 desserts. All very tasty and reasonably priced for the quality and location. Bueno!!
Dehesa has become one of my favorite restaurants anywhere in the world. The food is always exceptional, a great wine list and excellent service on an incredibly consistent basis.
Very tasty food and good service in a relaxed atmosphere.
beautiful evening, beautiful food and beautiful wine :)
Favourites are the chorizo, courgette flowers, pork belly, and it is compulsory to have a plate of the meats with delicious flatbread. Never disappointed :-)
Amazing food and wine, great service, friendly and professional staff 👍🏻
Enjoyed the bar seats
Went to Dehesa with a voucher following a previous feedback I left about the slow service we experienced the last time we came to the restaurant. What an improvement!! The meal was fantastic, every single dish we tried was delicious. And the service was excellent! Ed made us feel very welcome and was so attentive. All in all, a lovely relaxing meal! What an improvement to the last time we came! Would definitely recommend to a friend now!
Food was amazing and very good service. We had the private area downstairs for a party of 10.
Most of our tapas came within 5 min but fries took 45 mins! Also, it was very loud and I found it hard to listen to my friend across the table. The food was good.
Small portions, slow service
Its a nice restaurant and the food was ok, but just ok. Some of the dishes were luke warm. We ordered 2 x meat, 2 x fish and then patatas bravas/tortilla to accompany them. the fish were brought our first and then when finished the two meat dishes were brought out. Then finally at the end after we had finished the meat dishes the patatas bravas and tortilla were brought out so we were basically left with a portion of chips (which is what the patats bravas was) and a dry tortilla which didnt feel like a satisfying way to end the meal. This may sound petty but it's the small things when you are trying to be a premium restaurant.
We had a great time. And my communication with Ivan leading up to the day was really helpful and friendly. Thank you for making my engagement party so special :)
